The Diocese of Austin has issued guidelines regarding safe worship practices. In short, parishes are instructed to return to pre-pandemic schedules and protocols in the celebration of the Mass. In a letter to parishes dated May 23, 2021, the Bishop of the Diocese of Austin, Joe Vasquez, stated:
"I joyfully invite all Catholics back to in-person participation in the sacraments and the life of the parish."
At Sacred Heart Rockne, masks can be worn if desired. Social distancing is still recommended when possible.
