If you are attending OCIA classes as Sacred Heart Rockne with the attention of becoming Catholic, or completing your Catholic sacraments, there are a few things you need to do:
- Attend weekly OCIA classes. You can find out more information about our OCIA program and get a schedule of classes from the Sacred Heart Rockne OCIA page.
- Complete the OCIA Participant Form.
- Select your Catholic sponsor. A sponsor is an active Catholic who basically serves as a mentor and spiritual friend during the formation process.
- If you have been previous baptized, either by the Catholic Church or some other Christian denomination, we will need a copy of your baptismal record.
- If you have ever been divorced -OR- you are, or were, married to someone who had a divorce, there may be some additional work that must be done. Please speak to me (Rodney Kadura) and I will provide you with the proper information and guidance based on your situation.
